House Rabbit Resource Network offers rabbit boarding at our shelter in Pflugerville, Texas, as well as nail trim and gland cleanings services for a small donation price.

Rabbit Boarding Services
Whether you’re just going away for the weekend or taking a month long trip to Europe, House Rabbit Resource Network offers short-term and long-term rabbit boarding services!
House Rabbit Resource Network uses our large, air-conditioned event center attached to the main shelter to house our rabbit guests in x-pens.
While being a boarding guest, your rabbit will get lots of attention and love from our amazing volunteers. They will also be closely watched and monitored by our rabbit experts in case of any problems arise like gut stasis. You can rest assured that your rabbit is in the best care when they stay with us at House Rabbit Resource Network.
Requirements for Boarding Your Rabbit
Before you can board your rabbit with House Rabbit Resource Network, they must be vaccinated for RHDV2. This ensures the safety of our other boarding rabbits and all of our shelter rabbits. If you’re unsure where to get the RHDV2 vaccine for your rabbit, speak to one of the rabbit-savvy veterinarians on our rabbit-savvy vet’s list.
Rabbit Boarding Prices
$15 a night per x-pen. So this means 1 rabbit in an x-pen costs the same as a bonded pair of rabbits in an x-pen.
$200 a month.
What You Need To Bring/Provide Your Rabbit for Boarding
- X-Pen:
- Each rabbit or pair of rabbits is housed in an x-pen while boarding at HRRN. If you don’t own an x-pen HRRN can provide one, just let us know beforehand so we can make sure we have one available when you bring your rabbit.
- Litterbox:
- Each rabbit or pair of rabbits needs a litter box and litter. We can provide this if you cannot (an additional fee).
- Water crock or bottle
- Rabbit Pellets:
- If you do not feed Purina Fibre 3 or BBT pellets, bring a large bag of your rabbit’s pellets for them during their stay. If they do eat Purina Fibre 3 or BBT, we will just feed them from our stock the amount you give them daily.
- Hay:
- If you feed timothy hay we can feed them from our shelter supply. If they eat another type like orchard grass please bring enough for their stay.
- Favorite Toys or Bedding:
- Any favorite toys or bedding is encouraged to make them feel more at home.

House Rabbit Resource Network
Rabbit Nail Trim & Gland Cleaning
Nail trims can be stressful for both the rabbit and caretaker. Let House Rabbit Resource Network take the stress out of rabbit nail trims by doing it for you!
We also offer anal gland cleaning for your rabbit. If your rabbit has a really bad smell coming from them, their anal glands might be clogged and need to be cleaned. House Rabbit Resource Network is happy to provide this service for a $10 donation.

For a $10 donation, your bunny can get their nails trimmed and you can relax!

Bunny Spa Days at the Shelter
House Rabbit Resource Network hosts our Bunny Spa Day twice a year, in the Spring and Fall.
Bunny Spa Day Services
Held in our HRRN Event Center next to the shelter, our Bunny Spa Days offer:
- bunny nail trims
- massage
- grooming
- anal gland cleaning
- weight/condition check
The Spa Day consists of different stations with each service, and you simply take your rabbit to each station when it’s open until they’ve had each service. This is a wonderful event to meet other bunny enthusiasts, our volunteers, and the rabbits always love it!
Bunny Spa Day Prices
- $20 for first bunny
- $15 for second
- $10 for third and onward
All proceeds go to the shelter bunnies at House Rabbit Resource Network 
The price is for all the services. You pay the fee at the door and then you can take your rabbit to each station as they open.
